Origin Story
Hogsback is a place where mist curls through the towering forests, where myths of fairies and wizards whisper in the trees. It’s here among these Tolkienesque forests that we chose to reimagine mushroom farming. Not by clearing land, but by healing it together with nature.
Invasive tree species are transformed into rich mushroom substrates. After fruiting we compost our waste back into the earth and rewild with indigenous flora to strengthen the biodiversity of our natural forest. Every mushroom that leaves our farm carries this cycle of regeneration within it. Behind the work is a team with science in their veins and earth under their fingernails:
